Rob
Strategic Analytics Manager
I joined Snap as a university graduate and loved that the role gave me the opportunity to utilise skills learned during my degree. Snap’s culture has appealed to me since day one, a smaller group of passionate people utilising their unique skillsets all working hard towards a common goal!
I started as a Credit Risk Analyst in 2019 as the only analyst on the team, was promoted to Senior Credit Risk Analyst in November 2021 since I could now manage my own projects and had experience mentoring and training junior team members. I was then promoted to Strategic Analytics Manager in 2023 having had experience managing team members and assigning and managing their workload. Regular career focused 1-1 mentorship sessions as well as a lot of exposure and face time with executives has really helped me focus on personal growth and highlighted how the work I do fits into this. Leadership development sessions have been very beneficial and helped me to understand the skills and mindset required to progress further into leadership roles.
Winning Credit Risk Team of the Year at the 2025 Credit Strategy Awards has been a real career highlight, recognising the hard work and dedication the team has displayed. From launching SnapFlex and rolling out Risk Based Pricing to the support and development of the latest graduate cohort, the team have worked incredibly hard and really delivered on our goals, so it felt amazing to have this acknowledged.
I have found the culture to be the ideal environment for career development. Everyone is supportive of each other’s individual goals and I have found management endeavour to ensure these are considered when planning future projects and workstreams. The GSD (Get Stuff Done) ethos really fits with my own ideology so allowing me the space and responsibility to build out my own role has done wonders for my development.
If you are willing to work hard, get stuck in and want to contribute directly to a common goal from day one then you will thrive at Snap Finance. We don’t want to stop moving forward so finding better ways of doing things is encouraged and we always want to know what can be improved, so my advice is to point as much of this out as possible!
